Omega Constellation “Last Pie Pan” Japan 168.0065 Full Set
Omega Constellation “Last Pie Pan” Japan 168.0065 Full Set
Known by die-hard Omega collectors as “The Last Pie Pan” I present for your viewing pleasure a MINT Omega Constellation Ref. 168.0065. Produced exclusively for the Japanese market from 1973 to 1977, and after several years absence from the Omega catalog - the pie-pan was revived with all the good stuff! Dog-leg lugs, vintage Omega logo, and beautiful onyx-inlaid hour markers and dauphine hands. Most intriguing to me was the absence of the famous Constellation star, along with an unusual rearrangement of the dial text. Produced only in stainless steel with a silver sunburst dial and powered by the chronometer-certified caliber 1011, the 168.0065 was never a numbered limited edition, but its Japan-only distribution makes it one of the toughest Omegas to get your hands on. Ours is mint condition with its original Omega beads-of-rice bracelet, boxes, and serial-number-matched Japanese warranty, documenting its original sale at Yokohama Takashimaya on September 4, 1976. A beautifully preserved piece of Omega history, representing the final chapter of one of the brand’s most celebrated dial designs. Enjoy!!
